Cowboys at Bears 8:40 PM ESPN
Synopsis:
This is a pivotal game for both teams, the Bears must win to stay in the NFC North Race. The Cowboys also must win in order to stay close to the Eagles or pull away because they struggle in December. Remember week 17 is a game between the Eagles and Cowboys.
The Cowboys have struggled in December and in both the 2011 and 2012 seasons they lost the last game of the season to miss the playoffs. If they win here and can string a few together they can stay in race for the NFC East. Like I have already they play the Eagles in week 17, every game this month is truly a must win for Romo and the Cowboys.
The Bears are 2-2 under quarterback Josh McCown who has played well since Jay Cutler went down with a groin injury that he irritated. Their defense hasn't been that great either which has hurt them. McCown must find his two best receivers Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffrey. It is also imperative that Matt Forte plays well and gets a good dose of touches in the running game as well as in the passing game.
Prediction:
Romo will have a big night and throw for over 300 yards and 3 touchdowns in a shoot out. Cowboys win 38-31
