Ravens at Lions 8:40 PM ESPN
Synopsis:
Both of these teams are in must win need modes, the Ravens
came off a dramatic last second victory over the Minnesota Vikings and the
Lions off a loss in which they let the Eagles run all over them in the 4th
quarter.
The Ravens are looking to stay in the playoff hunt and are
3-2 in the AFC North and must keep winning to make the playoffs, the one issue
standing in their way is their road record which is 1-5. If the Ravens lose this game it will hurt
their chances to make the playoffs so they must win on the road and turn their
away play around. The Ravens have also struggled
on offense this season scoring only 21 points a game, if they cannot get
anything going against the Lions they will have a tough time mounting a
comeback.
The Lions sit at 7-6 spotting a 4-2 home record and
averaging 26.6 points a game, they play better indoors than outdoors which was
evident last weekend against the Eagles in the blizzard like conditions they
played in. If Reggie Bush can go this
week their offense will open up even more and of course you cannot forget about
Calvin Johnson aka Megatron. Ravens
rookie Matt Elam called Calvin Johnson “old”” so you better believe that fuels
the Lions, we have seen them use trash talk to fuel themselves just like they
did against the Packers when they were called dirty.
Prediction:
Lions will get back on track and win 28-13
